We are receiving lots of service requests with trimming. Please note that we will have guys take care those specials request when they are scheduled in that area. If by any chance they are ahead of schedule, then we can send them out and take care of those requests beforehand. Friendly Reminder my trimming crew will trim palms under 14 feet Over All. Anything over that will require a ladder and a Tree crew to be able to perform that. HOA performs trimming for palms over 14 feet once a year before hurricane season.
We have received several concerns regarding the appearance of the soft edging around the mulch beds and the lack of a sharply defined edge. Currently, our maintenance approach is intentional. Over the years, repeated edging has gradually pushed the turf line farther away from the beds, causing many of the mulch areas to become wider than originally intended. Our current goal is to allow the turf to re-establish and fill back into these areas. To support this process, crews are edging only enough to prevent grass runners from growing into the mulch beds while still allowing the turf to expand and recover. Once the turf has filled in and the bed lines have returned to their desired dimensions, we will be able to redefine and sharpen the bed edges for a more finished appearance. We appreciate your patience as we work to restore the proper balance between the turf and landscape beds.
Pruning:
First Round – Completed
The first round of pruning has been completed. During this phase we focused on pocket pruning all Arboricola shrubs to encourage interior growth, as many plants previously only had top growth.
Plants that required reduction were properly cut back and all other shrubs were separated and level-pruned for a cleaner appearance.
We also cleaned all Pygmy Date Palms and trimmed any other palms with fronds under 14 feet.
Second Round – In Progress
Section 1 and 7 are fully completed. We are now on Section 6 about 80% complete
During this round we will be performing 30–50% cutbacks on Nora Grant Ixoras to help rejuvenate them.
Clusia hedges will be reduced to approximately 5–6 feet in height where necessary, while other shrubs will receive level pruning. Also cleaning seed pods on Pygmy Dates
Pocket pruning will be performed on dwarf Ixoras and hibiscus. Ixoras are pruned this way now to prepare for the flowering season beginning July–August.
Upcoming Pruning
Hibiscus, firebush and bougainvilleas hard cutbacks will begin –June. These are pruned for blooms. Hibiscus trees we are holding off until next cycle because they are still in bloom. We will still clean the hibiscus trees ass needed. All other plants we will maintain as needed.
We have completed club house and community wall as well the wall on SR 80 Rd.
We have begun cutback pruning in Section 1 (Summer Sweet). Please be aware that this process takes longer than standard pruning because the shrubs are being selectively hand-pruned to ensure proper rejuvenation and healthy regrowth. As a result, progress may be slower than normal, but this method provides the best long-term results for the landscape.
Mowing:
We have received some concerns about our not-edging driveways. The reason for lots of driveways not being edged is due that we are allowing it to grow back to the edge of paver drive way and not edging by showing the concrete, which is not the right way or appealing.
Also, some concerns about the height in what we mow. We cut turf at a 4 ½ inch height which is the proper height St Augustine sod needs to be mow. Any lower we would scalp and damage sod. It also creates more tire track damage which we are trying to fix with us changing mowing patterns every time me Mow.
IPM / Fertilization:
IPM has completed all od south side and clubhouse. We will begin north side on Monday June 22nd
We are spraying all flowering shrubs with systemic insecticide and liquid fertilizer. Still touch up the weeds in turf as well
We do have residents that have goose grass, crab grass in turf. These wild grasses are in bloom and growing seed pods which grow in a much faster pace. Regular weed control doesn’t not kill these grasses only way to take care of this issue is to kill it with round up and replace sod

Turf has improved with just the carbon pro and some rain we received
Chinch bug season is beginning. Ipm service that is included but will only treat what is visible and usually its to late. We recommend residents to do preventive treatment, and we can provide that service for an extra charge at $125 for application with a 90 day guarantee. This will also cover grubs.
